Reconciliation Policy To Help Confront
BRUSSELS: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said the government believed that the only way forward for Pakistan was to adopt a policy of political reconciliation and consensus to overcome the challenges it was confronting. Talking to office bearers of the Pakistan Peoples Party here the Prime Minister informed them about the measures his government had taken for bringing economic stability and to uplift the people who have been neglected in the past. He said apart from the serious problems of extremism and terrorism the country was also encountering energy shortage, poverty and unemployment but was determined to address all these through prudent management
Israel Freed Three Pakistanis Accorded
ISLAMABAD: Three Pakistanis including two senior journalists after being freed from Israel’s detention have arrived home back late on Thursday night. Released journalists Talat Hussain and Raza Mehmood Agha were accorded warm welcome at Benazir International airport. Federal Home Minister Rehman Malik, the relatives of journalists, representatives from civil society and journalists from twin cities – Islamabad and Rawalpindi, sprinkled rose petals on them.
