Jessica Simpson To Appear On The Screen After 6 Years

Six years after she became a breakout reality TV star with MTV’s “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica,” Jessica Simpson is returning to MTV Networks for a VH1 series that takes her around the globe in the search of beauty.

“The Price of Beauty” features Simpson traveling to exotic locations to interact with regular women, as well as some local pop culture icons. Simpson will study local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimes and even participate in some of the extreme practices she discovers. The first episode takes her to Thailand, where she meets a women permanently scarred from whitening creams and mingles with a local tribe that practices neck-lengthening. In addition to Thailand, the show will follow Simpson to Japan, France, Brazil, Uganda, Morocco and India.
