Elton John: Jesus Was A Gay

LONDON: Sir Elton John thinks Jesus was gay, according to an interview with the musician in Parade magazine.

“I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems,” John, 62, tells the magazine. “On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving.”

John has been with boyfriend David Furnish for 16 years, five in a civil partnership. John was married to a woman for four years before he and his wife divorced in 1988, and he subsequently came out as a gay man.
