Anil Gets A Whopping Rs 1.91 Cr Vanity Van

Mumbai: Bollywood stars are often known for their weird tastes and eccentricities! Anil Kapoor is one such star who loves to splurge on his vanity van. The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ recently shelled a whopping Rs 1.91 cr for a 42-feelt long golden yellow vanity bus. The actor is simply elated with his new purchase that has become the current talk of B-town. The vanity bus registered with MH-04 TRA 135 number took a year in its making. Designed by Bonny Chhabria, the magnificent vanity bus boasts of high class interiors in mahogany wood with some equally exotic upholstery in the shades of ivory and beige. Made by Tatas, the vanity bus is assembled on an imported chassis.

Talking about the vanity bus, the state of the art vehicle is divided into a workspace with enough room for the actor’s secretary complete with laptops, computer monitors, TVs, television and other gadgets.

The second portion of the vanity bus has two bathrooms, a makeup-cum-lounge room along with a sofa-cum-bed and a moving chair.

Talking to a news daily, Shakti Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s co-star for ‘No Problem’ said, “This is probably the most expensive bus standing at the studio right now. It reportedly costs Rs 2 crore.” However, it is believed that the cost of the vanity bus is Rs 1.91 crore.

Grapevine has it that Anil’s vanity bus is second to SRK’s 50-feet-long vanity bus that costs around Rs 3 crore.
